About

About Prompt Drops

Prompt Drops started with a very ordinary frustration: the AI portraits and greeting images circulating online always looked better than the ones everyday prompts produced. The difference, as it turned out, was never the underlying AI generator—it was the precision of the prompt.

That realization led to the creation of Prompt Drops. The team began systematically collecting, crafting, and testing prompts like detailed photographer briefs—running them against real image inputs, refining what worked, and discarding what failed. Prompt Drops is the published collection of those efforts. Every entry pairs a finished example image with the exact, ready-to-copy prompt that produced it, allowing anyone to recreate the exact visual style in seconds without the trial and error.

What you’ll find here

Our collection focuses on personal and celebration imagery — the kinds of pictures people actually want to make and share. Browse by category, including:

  • Portraits — solo, couple, and stylised portrait looks.
  • Photo collages & double exposures — layered, story-telling compositions.
  • Status & social graphics — square and vertical art made for sharing.
  • Posters & typography — text-forward, design-led pieces.
  • Occasion edits — birthday, wedding, pre-wedding, engagement, and festival themes.

You can also explore by style and occasion, search for a specific look, or read the guides and roundups on the blog, where we explain which prompts to use for which moment and how to get the best out of them.

How the prompts are made

Prompts don’t go live just because they exist. Each one is written, generated, reviewed, and graded for quality before it’s published — a real person looks at every image and every prompt on this site before you see it. We’ve documented the whole pipeline on a dedicated page: how we create and test these prompts, including exactly where we use AI and where humans decide.

The app

Prompt Drops also ships as an Android app — the fastest way to browse and copy prompts on your phone, with new drops as they land. Read the story and get the download link on the app page.

Who runs this site

Prompt Drops is an GenOS product built and operated by a small team of contributors who generate and test prompt output every day. The words on this site are ours, the responsibility for what’s published is ours, and the fastest way to reach us is the contact page.

A note on AI-generated images

The example images in this gallery are produced with AI image models and are clearly marked as AI-generated. They’re here to show what a prompt can do — your own results will vary with the tool, settings, and inputs you use. Where we use AI to help draft text (like the short editorial notes on prompt pages), a person reviews it before it’s published — the details are on the how we work page.
